The South Gippsland Shire Council has now informed us that:

As a result of the return of regional Victoria to stage three restrictions our movement and our ability to socialise with friends and family will again be limited. Please wear a mask when outside your home.

All buildings and facilities managed by Council or through Section 86 Committees will close. This means our Community Centre will close. Playgrounds will also close.

The outdoor area can still be used for casual activities – such as walking the dog or having a kick of the footy – but planned gatherings are not permitted. However please remember to respect the current social distancing guidelines to keep yourself and those around you safe.

Outdoor sports will only be allowed with one other person, or household members, providing 1.5 metre distance can be maintained, eg: activities such as fishing, golfing, boating, tennis, surfing.

Make sure you observe appropriate physical distancing rules by keeping at least 1.5 metres from other people at all times.”

As a result, the Community Centre will be open from Tuesday 9th June, with Tai Chi and Wed morning Pilates recommencing.

The playparks are now open and the tennis courts are available, but only one court – as per social distancing guidelines. Booking of the court should be made through the General Store

“Restrictions on facilities such as community centres, public halls and public libraries have eased.

From 11:59 pm on 31 May, these community facilities have been permitted to open with no more than 20 people allowed in each separate space at any one time, in addition to those required to operate the facility. Density requirements (one person per four square metres) must also be complied with.
