Sensational Sandcastles

Every year the Sandy Point Community Group (SPCG) organises the famous Sandy Point Sandcastle Competition.
This summer the Sandcastle Competition was held on Sunday 28 December on the main beach near the surf lifesaving club. The weather was kind, and over 200 people, young and old, and many family groups participated in this friendly, happy competition. Prizes were awarded for the best sandcastles.
Sensational sandcastles were created as seen in the photo gallery below.
Thank-you to all the volunteers who made it happen - planning, advertising, taking registrations, setting up, clearing up, and our wonderful judges.

Sausage Sizzle
This year the sausage sizzle was run as a fundraiser for the SP Men’s Shed, and the Sandy community electric e-bus. Thank-you to all the volunteers who helped with the set-up, cooking, serving and pack-up.
