Welcome sign in Telopea Dve
Many of you will have noticed the new Sandy Point Welcome Sign in Telopea Drive. This has been a project well over five years in the making. The SPCG Signage Committee has done a terrific job, from creating the original concept design, to identifying a supplier and sourcing the funding through various grants and fundraising. We would like to thank all those who have assisted with this project along the way and expect that the sign will be part of Sandy Point’s identity for many years to come.
SPCG worked with Ross and the team at Cutout who enabled the vision to come to life.
SPCG acknowledges the grant contributions from both the South Gippsland Shire Council and 'Tiny Towns Grant' as part of Regional Development Victoria through the Department of Job, Skills, Industry and Regions. SPCG also made a significant contribution toward the finalisation of this project.
SPCG has had a sub-committee leading the Sandy Point Signage Project.
The project has completed the following:
Information signs – located in the town centre reserve
Refresh of surf boards in town centre reserve
Welcome sign – located on Telopea Drive
Historical interpretive signs – located in the T.P. Taylor Reserve adjacent to the Community Centre
Please get involved.
