Black-faced Cormorant


COMMON NAME: Black-faced Cormorant

CATEGORIES: Inlet

Often mistaken for penguins, these cormorants can be seen sitting on buoys or along the water’s edge at the inlet.

Black-faced Cormorants can be distinguished from other cormorants by their black mask, black bill and aquamarine eyes.

They are present year round in small numbers.
