Great Cormorant with Little Black Cormorant at Shallow Inlet

COMMON NAME: Great Cormorant

CATEGORIES: Beach Inlet

The largest of the cormorants, they are almost entirely black, apart from their paler faces.

They are usually seen singly or in small groups.

They dive to catch fish and can be seen standing with their wings stretched, drying in the sun.

They are one of the five species of cormorants found at the inlet.
