Grey Fantail

Grey Fantail in Sandy Point

COMMON NAME: Grey Fantail

CATEGORIES: Bush

These small flycatchers are conspicuous by their showy fanning tails.

Grey Fantails swish their bodies from side to side and are rarely still.

Diving from their perch, they catch airborne insects.

They are often seen in the company of other small bush birds.

You’re likely to see them flitting around the village and in bush by the inlet.
