Grey Plover

COMMON NAME: Grey Plover

CATEGORIES: Beach Inlet Migratory

A less frequent visitor than the similar Pacific Golden Plover, these are rarely seen around Sandy Point.

Sightings are most likely of birds en route to Corner Inlet.

They breed in the high arctic, and most Grey Plovers that migrate to Australia are female.
