Our General Store was broken into last night.
The community sends our sympathy and best wishes to Paddy.  More than ever we need to support our store, buy local and look out for each other.

Watch yourselves and your dogs - Bluebottles are on the beach.
Another good reason to leash your dog - as well as to protect our beach-nesting birds.
A second conservation purchase in Corner Inlet is a major win for our coastal saltmarshes - 

Lying within Corner Inlet - a wetland of international importance under the RAMSAR Convention - the 72-ha Bullock Island was offered for sale earlier this y
Hoodies sheltering and breeding. 
During the 'severe' weather on the spit this weekend this hardy pair of hoodies sheltered from driven sand behind a clump of seaweed. Last week they were observed nearby as they courted, briefly mated and dug scrapes
Fox trapping is currently taking place on the sand spit. 
Please keep your dogs leashed to keep them and our beach-nesting birds safe.

 We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, and pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
