Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
COMMON NAME: Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
CATEGORIES: Beach Inlet Migratory
A small to medium sized migratory sandpiper, they tend to have warmer tones than the other waders.
They feed on the mudflats but can be difficult to see as they are well camouflaged.
They may also be spotted on the spit, roosting in groups with other birds.
