Rainbow Lorikeet

COMMON NAME: Rainbow Lorikeet

CATEGORIES: Bush Farmland

These brightly coloured parrots are aptly named.

They are loud and gregarious birds, always seen in groups.

They tend to visit for a short period in winter, when their preferred gums are in blossom.

They use their brush like tongue to extract nectar from flowers.
