Community Garden
In April 2025 it was decided that the management of the Sandy Point Community Garden would transition from SPCG to the Sandy Point Community Centre Committee of Asset Management. As the garden sits within the TP Taylor Reserve, all parties felt this was a logical transition.
The Community Garden was established in 2020 through the drive and passion of Liz and Doug Brown. Grant funding was received from both Volunteers Victoria and the South Gippsland Shire Council. Since that time, the community garden community has literally grown and fittingly, it sits in the heart of the town. It provides a great opportunity for local gardeners to meet up, share knowledge while enjoying the benefits of chatting and harvesting produce. We look forward to seeing the garden and its community continue to thrive.
