Targeted Fauna Survey
The project will comprise of both desktop and field elements, and that the primary purpose of data collection will supplement the proposed vegetation assessment and management guidelines for the same area with fauna survey to include a targeted survey for Swamp Skink and Glossy Grass Skink: in addition to this the fauna will discuss the fauna values, potential threats and any management concerns.
The reporting for the site would include an amalgamation of the known fauna records for the site that would look to include data from the Victorian Biodiversity Atlas, bird records from the area (local bird watchers) and data from Sandy Point Habitat motion sensor cameras.
A second component of the project would be a field survey of the study area would include document incidental fauna recorded during the assessment.
It would also encompass a targeted fauna survey for threatened skink species such as Swamp Skink (Lissolepis coventryi) and Glossy Grass Skink (Pseudemoia rawlinsoni) which the study area contains suitable habitat for will be undertaken.
