Bassian Thrush

Bassian Thrush on the Roy Henderson trail

COMMON NAME: Bassian Thrush

CATEGORIES: Bush

These shy, ground dwelling birds are slightly bigger than a blackbird.

They have a lovely speckled body and large eyes.

They are found in dense bush, where they feed in leaf litter and are very well camouflaged.

If you’re lucky, you may spot one along the Roy Henderson Track.
