COMMON NAME: Caspian Tern

CATEGORIES: Beach Inlet

These big birds with huge red bills are the largest of the terns.

They are only occasional visitors to Sandy Point. 

You might spot a single Caspian Tern at the inlet fishing or resting on the mudflats.

They also turn up irregularly along the spit.
