COMMON NAME: Chestnut Teal

CATEGORIES: Inlet

Hundreds of these dabbling ducks are resident at the inlet.

They are often in big groups, out on the mudflats.

They look similar to Grey Teals, but can be distinguished by their darker colouring and slightly bigger size.

Males have a distinctive green glossy head.
