Buff-banded Rail
COMMON NAME: Buff-banded Rail
CATEGORIES: Farmland
Easily startled and highly secretive, they can be seen around fresh water sources such as dams, particularly if there is dense vegetation.
They have also been spotted in domestic gardens in the village.
They are patterned for camouflage with a contrasting white eyebrow and a chestnut head.
Often solitary or in pairs.
