Hoodies sheltering and breeding. 
During the 'severe' weather on the spit this weekend this hardy pair of hoodies sheltered from driven sand behind a clump of seaweed. Last week they were observed nearby as they courted, briefly mated and dug scrapes
Fox trapping is currently taking place on the sand spit. 
Please keep your dogs leashed to keep them and our beach-nesting birds safe.

A new club for Sandy Point
We're wanting to start a walking group for locals who live in or near Sandy Point. Our idea is that we should walk in the company of others for an hour or two along our beautiful beach, around town or down at the inlet, all
