Grey Teal

Grey Teal at Shallow Inlet

COMMON NAME: Grey Teal

CATEGORIES: Inlet

These dabbling ducks feed on weed and small crustaceans.

As they prefer fresh water, they are only occasional visitors to the inlet.

They look similar to the more common Chestnut Teal, but can be distinguished by the large white patch on the throat and lighter brown colouring.
