Hoary-headed Grebe
COMMON NAME: Hoary-headed Grebe
CATEGORIES: Inlet
Usually in pairs out on the inlet, they are rarely, if ever, seen on land.
Occasionally they come together in large groups in the non-breeding season.
These small waterbirds will move away quickly when people are around, disappearing underwater and emerging a long way off.
They feed on invertebrates.
