Little Pied Cormorant

Little Pied Cormorant at Shallow Inlet

COMMON NAME: Little Pied Cormorant

CATEGORIES: Inlet

Little Pied Cormorants are one of the five types of cormorants found at the inlet.

They are black and white with yellow bills.

They can often be spotted sitting on buoys, posts in the water or semi submerged trees, whilst keeping an eye out for prey.

They also gather in small groups, often with other species of birds, to roost at high tide.
