Common Starling

Common Starling aka European Starling introduced species

COMMON NAME: Common Starling

CATEGORIES: Bush

An introduced species, Common Starlings are usually seen in groups sitting on the powerlines.

They have a distinctive long pointy bill and relatively short tail.

They chatter incessantly amongst themselves, sometimes bickering in harsh tones.

Large groups of starlings in flight, called murmurations, occasionally form over surrounding farmlands and the dunes.
