Sandcastle Competition

Every summer the Sandy Point Community Group (SPCG) organises the famous Sandy Point Sandcastle Competition.

Held near the main beach access track, over 200 people, young and old, and many family groups participate in this friendly, happy competition.

Prizes are awarded for the best sandcastles. With thanks to the sponsors who donate their vouchers, such as the Sandy Point General Store, @tayascoffee, and Michael's Donuts.

Thank-you to all the volunteers who make it happen - planning, advertising, taking registrations, setting up, clearing up, and our wonderful judges.

Sausage Sizzle

Every year there is also a fundraising sausage sizzle to feed the hungry sandcastle builders. Proceeds support local groups and projects, such as the SP Men’s Shed, and the Sandy community electric e-bus. Thank-you to all the volunteers who help with the set-up, cooking, serving and pack-up of the sausage sizzle.
